Are you applying for Danish residence permit in SIRI?

To provide you with better service, Esbjerg International Citizen Service has chosen to develop a short guide, intended to help you apply for residence permit and navigate through procedure of settling in Denmark.

We are pleased to inform you, that for citizens, residing in the following municipalities, it is possible to register and obtain CPR (civil registration number) in ICS Esbjerg: Esbjerg, Billund, Fanø, Kolding, Tønder or Varde.

Information to Nordic citizens

Are you a Nordic citizen?

If you are a Nordic citizen (a citizen of Norway, Sweden, Iceland or Finland), you do not need a residence permit or visa. You are free to enter, work and study in Denmark.

In order to get registered in Denmark and acquire a Danish CPR number (civil registration number) you need a Danish address.

Information to EU/EEA citizens

Are you an EU/EEA citizen?

If you are an EU/EEA citizen, you can enter, work and study in Denmark according to special regulations.

The following countries are included in the term “EU/EEA citizen”: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
