September offers a mix of professional and social events including; The Living Room (international café - for newcomers and oldcomers) with a speech from the author Mahmoud Zamzam; annual workshops about public school culture, banking/insurance & purchase of a home and Culture shock (to build cultural intelligence and learn more about Danish culture).
If you are looking to expand your leisure life, we invite you to join us for the Assoc´s day, where we give guidance on finding spare time offers and we will take a stoll togehter at the city leisure fair. Some clubs s will also welcome you in september at co-Enlish speaking open house events, so this is your chance to get first hand experience with spare time club life in Denmark.
For families/children, for those who likes being creative and for those with a spirit for mystery, fantasy, adventure or dragons! Feel free to come by Esbjerg International house and Esbjerg library for the Fantasy festival. We hope to see you that weekend at the Esbjerg International dragon house?

The Fantasyfestival in Esbjerg is growing every year and attracting turists from all of Denmark and neigbouring countries. The International Dragon house will be the venue for Dragons and for creative workshops in English.

Municipal Danish at AOF Job & Dansk upon arrival
The municipality will for the first period of your stay in Denmark cover the expenses for Danish Tuition at AOF Job & Dansk, which consists of 6 modules and can be used for a period of 5 years distributed with the help of a 42-month vouchers system. You will be required to pay a deposit of DKK 2,000,00 before the lessons start. The module tuition is targeted both at oral and written Danish.

FOF free beginners class

FVU Danish-reading
FVU meaning continuing adult education and is a common concept in Denmark. Several schools offer FVU Danish classes to improve your Danish skills. You will need to speak basic Danish prior to starting FVU Danish-reading. Basic level usually corresponds minimum to the first 2 modules of the municipality Danish Tuition or to being able to speak Danish freely in a dialogue.
