Summer activities for kids
Throughout the summer children can join activities at local sports clubs, associations, culture schools, and museums. Some activities require advance registration and places fill up quickly, while others are open for children on a drop-in basis.
The online overview of activities should work with google translate. Otherwise you will find a dictionary of the most relevant words to use for navigating the site here:

Summer camps
A little inspiration for summer camps for kids in the area of Esbjerg, as summer camps are quickly full. The summer camps are in most cases full week daytime camps and there is a fee to join the camp. Make sure to book well in advance - Danish style:-)
Also you can find commercial summer schools at various places - for example camps at the Horseback riding schools, summer school at some dance schools etc. Many clubs/associations will do summer schools or summer activities. We will post an english resume when the municipality list of summer activities by associations/clubs comes out in June.

Prison Yard Summer Drums
TUES JULY 4 2023, 4 PM - 5 PM @The Prison Yard (The courtyard by the International House), Torvegade 23, Esbjerg
Feel the International House courtyard (former prison yard) in a new way when the space inspires drummer Casper Mikkelsen to make music. Join the free concert when the courtyard is converted to an open-air drum concert space for the whole family.

Do you wish to join a committee to help start up an international local club in Esbjerg Muncipality
AMIS (a 30-year old NGO ) and Last Week in Denmark have entered in an official partnership with a first project to set up 9 local international clubs for internationals around Denmark. The purpose of the local clubs (which will be organized legally under AMIS) will be to act as bridges between the various international groups that call Denmark their home. If a minimum of five people from the same municipality sign up to join a founding comittee, Last week in Denmark and AMIS will consider that location.
The deadline to sign up for the "founding committees" is 1st July.

International DRAGON house & Esbjerg Fantasy festival

The Fantasyfestival in Esbjerg is growing every year, and attracting turists from all of Denmark and neigbouring countries. We hope you will all take a walk in City and visit Esbjerg Library during the weekend to meet Monsters and other magical creatures. The International house will be the venue for Dragons and for creative workshops in English.
Day-pass to activities can be purchased online, at Esbjerg Library or at Esbjerg International DRAGON house.
