Christmas cottages and Ice skating in Esbjerg City
Christmas cottages at Esbjerg Main Square
During December you can get a feel of x-mas at Esbjerg Main Square, where you can visit the x-mas cottages for snacks, deserts, food, hot drinks and x-mas crafts. Find the opening hours of the x-mas cottages and the full Esbjerg City X-mas program here.
The Ice Skating rink at the Main Square in Esbjerg will soon open for the winter season.
The ice skate rink is to use for free. If you do not have your own skates you can rent them during opening hours at the booth by the rink. It is also possible to rent helmets and skating frames for smaller children.

Jul in Ribe - Christmas as in the old days
Jul in Ribe is Christmas as in the old days. Throughout December Ribe is the place for Christmas atmosphere, with lots of Christmas activities and a Christmas market on afternoons/evenings. If you wish to explore the traditional Danish old style Christmast atmosphere, Ribe is where you could be heading.

The Wish Tree
At the Wish tree in Esbjerg you can during December pick a heart and fulfil a Christmas wish for a child who is either socially disadvantages or is living at an institution/orphanage. The Wish Tree is placed in the courtyard by the International house in Esbjerg, Torvegade 23.
The Wish Tree is decorated with hearts, each with a wish from one child in the price-range of 100-250 DKK. Feel free to pick a heart & bring back a wrapped gift with the heart attached before December 16th. and the gift will be passed on to the child.
The gifts can be handed in at the Event department/International House, Torvegade 23, Esbjerg all weekdays 10am.-3pm. (latest Dec 17th) or at the Esbjerg City office, Torvet 16 in Esbjerg.
