Xmas atmosphere
December offers lots of danish ´Hygge´. Take a walk in Esbjerg City, drop by the Xmas huts, visit Peters Jul in Ribe, try ice-skating at Esbjerg Main Square or take a walk in the deer park - and if snow comes, drop by ´gryden´ in vognsbølparken with your sleigh. Newcomers are also welcome to join us @the Living Room on Dec 2nd with Danish Xmas Hygge plus drinks from all over the world.
We will ask for Corona Pass at all newcomer events.
Corona Pass
The Corona pass is back in Denmark for everyone age 15 and up. A valid Corona Pass is required for example at cafés and restaurants, at some sports and cultural venues, at cultural events and gatherings depending on numbers of participants, amusement parks, hospitals etc.
Your will find your Corona pass either in the App: Coronapas or by printing the pass from sundhed.dk. Your Corona pass will be valid if you are fully vaccinated, if you had a negative test taken within the past 72 hours (96 hours for PCR test) or have had corona within the past 6 months.

Christmas kick off in Esbjerg
Fri Nov 26th 2021, starting at 5pm. @Esbjerg City
Santa arrives at Esbjerg Harbour Dokhavnen at 5pm. to parade though the City ending at Esbjerg Main Square to turn on the Christmas tree around 5.30 pm.
The ice-skating rink and the Christmas cottages will open in Esbjerg City. Come take part in the Christmas atmosphere!
(Same day will be late night open in Esbjerg City / Black Friday.)

The Wish Tree
At the Wish tree in Esbjerg you can during December pick a heart and fulfil a Christmas wish for a child, who are living at an institution/orphanage. The Wish Tree is placed in the courtyard by the International house in Esbjerg, Torvegade 23.
The Wish Tree is decorated with hearts, each with a wish from one child in the price-range of 100-250 DKK. Feel free to come pick a heart & bring back a wrapped gift with the heart attached no later than December 16th. 2020 - the gift will be passed on to the child.
The gifts can be handed in at the event department at the International House, Torvegade 23, Esbjerg all weekdays 10am.-3pm. (latest Dec 17th)

Ice skating rink at Esbjerg Main Square
The skating rink at Esbjerg Main Square will be open from Nov 26th 2021 until Feb 20th 2022.
The rink is to use for free. If you do not have your own skates you can rent them during opening hours at the booth by the rink. It is also possible to rent helmets and skating frames for smaller children
