In 2026, we’ve introduced more free welcome experiences for newcomers who’ve recently moved to Esbjerg. These includes a tour to get to know the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea region together with fellow newcomers.

We have a few places available on an upcoming Starling Magic Tour for new arrivals. 

The tour departs from Ribe Train Station on Sunday March 22nd, at 5PM. 

Please enter the code Newsletter as your relocation date, which will allow you to sign up for the tour. The available places are given on a first come, first served basis.

About the tour:

We will be chauffeured by bus (leaving from Ribe Train station) into the hinterlands and will be joined by a nature guide to watch thousands of small black birds dance in unison across the orange, pink and purple skies creating a synchronized show and mesmerizing the lucky few who have the chance to witness their ritual firsthand. The tour will be in combined Danish/English and is suitable for children and adults.
