Be a WASTE WARRIOR! Sort your holiday rubbish correctly!!!
A lot of waste is almost inevitable during the holidays and it might be overwhelming thinking about where and how to sort everything so here’s a little guide :
- Gift wrapping paper and ribbons 🎁 go in the general waste bin (#restaffald)
- Product packaging is often recyclable ♻️ Make sure to separate plastic (#plast) from cardboard boxes (#pap) and put waste materials in their respective bin.
- The schedule for curbside Christmas tree 🎄collection will be specific to your neighbourhood and takes place in January. If in doubt, ask your neighbour or check the link below. Make sure to remove all decorations
- Spent fireworks 🌟 go in the general wastens before tossing your tree
- Unused fireworks 🧨can be delivered to personnel at a waste center (#genbrugsplads) and illegal unused fireworks should go to the police station 👮
Fireworks 🎇may only be lit between 31 Dec - 1 Jan (and only those legally purchased in Denmark).
